What to Wear |
|
Yes, the most common question when people want to get a portrait done is "What should I wear?" This is simply put as "What do you want your picture to say?" Now, for business shoots, I tell my clients to wear what shows off their personality and the message they want to send to the public. Some people want to wear clothing with their business logo, some want to wear suit and tie and others want a relaxed and comfortable look. It is my job to bring out your personality and show you off in the best light. A photo shoot should be fun, relax and not a teeth-pulling experience. When it comes to family shoots or group shots, it is important that people are coordinated together. We do not want people in all different colors, or wearing clothing with large logos. This would only distract from the portrait. The photographer would help decide on what colors to wear. Everyone in white tops and blue jeans or everyone in black pants blue top, etc. There has to be uniformity in the shot. I always tell people, long sleeved is better than no sleeves, too much skin takes the eye away from the picture. Unless we are going for that kind of shoot which is glamour or boudoir. When you come to the decision that you would like professional shoot, the right photographer, a good photographer, will always have a FREE consultation so the shoot runs smoothly and everyone know what they are going for. |
